Sanad
by MarifeX
A complete native Android client for GLPI covering tickets, assets, problems, knowledge base and planning, adapted automatically to whoever signs in. Ship it as Sanad, or ship it white-labelled as your own product across India, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Why GLPI Stays Stuck on the Desktop
GLPI runs the back office well. Getting it into the hands of technicians and requesters walking around a site, or partners who need to hand clients something under their own name, is a separate problem entirely.
Building native mobile is a specialist cost
A reseller or IT team that wants a real Android app, not a bookmarked mobile web page, is looking at months of Android engineering, offline sync design and ongoing OS maintenance before a single ticket gets touched.
GLPI's web UI wasn't built for a phone
Technicians in the field, and requesters who just want to log an issue, are working through a desktop-oriented interface on a six-inch screen, or not using GLPI on mobile at all.
Generic ITSM apps ignore your configuration
Off-the-shelf mobile ITSM clients show every user the same screen and hope the permissions work out. They don't adapt to Self-Service, Technician or Super-Admin profiles the way your GLPI instance already defines them.
A Finished Mobile Layer for GLPI
Sanad is a native Android application that authenticates directly against your GLPI REST API and reshapes itself around the session it receives: no separate configuration step, no generic lowest-common-denominator screen.
Role-aware from first login
Self-Service requesters, Technicians and Super-Admins each see a dashboard and navigation built for what they're actually there to do.
Offline-first by design
Ticket actions taken with no connectivity queue locally and sync automatically once the device is back online, with no lost work and no duplicate GLPI IDs.
Hardened for real deployment
HTTPS-only in release builds, encrypted session storage, biometric app lock and a signed release build, not a debug build handed to end users.
Six Modules. One App.
Everything a technician or requester needs day to day, without leaving the app to fall back on the GLPI web console.
Tickets
Create, filter and act on tickets: assign to self, change status, add followups, with swipe actions and offline queueing built in.
Assets
Search, filter and drill into computers, monitors, network gear and more. Scan a barcode to jump straight to an asset's record.
Problems
Track root-cause investigations linked to the tickets that raised them, with the same status and activity model as Tickets.
Knowledge Base
Browse categories or jump to FAQs. Technicians can attach an article directly as a ticket's solution.
Planning
Day, week and month views of scheduled tasks and events, pulled from GLPI's own planning data.
Global Search
One search box across tickets, assets and knowledge base articles, plus barcode and voice search entry points.
One App, Three Very Different Experiences
Sanad reads the signed-in user's GLPI profile and decides what dashboard they need, not what dashboard is easiest to build once.
Self-Service
Requesters see their own tickets, critical and SLA counters, and a knowledge base shortcut, with no assignment queues or admin data that isn't theirs to see.
Technician
Open, critical and overdue counters up front, then straight into a filterable queue with swipe-to-assign and swipe-to-change-status.
Super-Admin
A tabbed Tickets, Assets and Problems overview with live status breakdowns, SLA-breach and critical counts, and per-type asset distribution, instance-wide rather than just "my tickets."
Your BI Dashboard, One Tap Away
Sanad's More menu can link directly to your organisation's own business-intelligence dashboard — whether that's Power BI, Grafana, Metabase or any web-based analytics tool. Higher management gets operational visibility without switching apps or reaching for a laptop.
Any web-based BI tool
Power BI, Grafana, Metabase, Looker or any dashboard accessible via URL — Sanad opens it directly from the app.
No separate app needed
Management taps once from Sanad to see live operational metrics, SLA trends and workload distribution — no desktop detour.
Your data, your dashboards
The BI layer is entirely yours. Sanad provides the shortcut; your organisation controls the data, the tool and the access.
Complete Freedom Over How It Looks
Everything visible in Sanad sits on top of the same engine, and every part of that surface is yours to control. You hand your client an app that looks like it was built for them alone, and they never see MarifeX unless you want them to.
App icon & splash branding
Your logo and mark replace ours on the launcher icon and login screen.
Full color theme, light and dark
Primary, secondary and accent colors swap to match your palette in both light and dark variants, on top of a themeable Material 3 color system rather than a single hard-coded look.
App name & store listing
Published under your own identity, not "Sanad": your client relationship, not ours.
Authentication, your way
Local login, or LDAP and Active Directory inherited straight from however your GLPI instance already authenticates. Single sign-on is on the roadmap and not yet available.
One-scan onboarding
A branded QR code pre-fills your GLPI server URL using the app's built-in scanner, so your end users never type a server address.
Works Where the Network Doesn't
Field technicians don't stop working because a warehouse or basement has no signal. Sanad caches tickets locally, lets technicians keep working, and syncs the moment connectivity returns, with GLPI and not around it.
Offline queueing
Ticket actions taken with no connectivity are held locally rather than lost, ready to sync as soon as the device reconnects.
Real GLPI IDs on sync
Offline-created tickets get their real ID from GLPI on sync, never a fabricated local number that could collide.
Visible sync state
Settings shows exactly how many tickets are cached and when the last sync happened, and lets a technician force a sync on demand.
Point. Brand. Sign. Go.
No months-long build. Sanad's engineering is already done; deployment is a configuration and packaging exercise.
01. Point it at your GLPI
Any REST-API-enabled GLPI instance, on-premise or cloud, reachable over HTTPS.
02. Apply your brand
Icon, splash, color theme and app name: yours, or ours as Sanad.
03. Sign & harden the release
Signed release build with HTTPS-only traffic, encrypted session storage and biometric lock.
04. Your team logs in
Self-Service, Technician or Super-Admin: the right dashboard from the first launch.
Sanad Mobile App
What is Sanad and how does it connect to GLPI?
Sanad is a native Android application built by MarifeX that authenticates directly against a GLPI instance's REST API. It is not a web view wrapper: every screen reflects the signed-in user's actual GLPI profile, rights and configuration from the moment they log in.
Does Sanad work offline?
Yes. Sanad is 100% offline-capable. Ticket actions taken with no connectivity queue locally on the device and sync automatically once the connection returns, with real GLPI ticket IDs assigned on sync rather than fabricated local numbers.
Can partners white-label Sanad under their own brand?
Yes. Sanad is white-label ready for partners and resellers. App icon and splash branding, the full color theme, and the app name and store listing can all be replaced with a partner's own identity, so end users see the partner's brand rather than MarifeX.
What authentication methods does Sanad support?
Sanad supports local username and password login, LDAP and Active Directory authentication inherited from the connected GLPI instance, and QR-code onboarding that pre-fills the GLPI server address. Single sign-on is on the product roadmap and is not available today.
Is Sanad available for iOS?
Sanad is currently a native Android application only. An iOS release is not available at this time.
How is Sanad deployed to end users?
Deployment is a configuration and packaging exercise rather than a build project: point the app at a GLPI REST-API-enabled instance reachable over HTTPS, apply the required branding, sign and harden the release build, and hand it to the team. Users land on the dashboard that matches their GLPI role from first login.
